When the balloon lands the basket will often stay upright if the wind is not too strong. If the wind is near the upper range for safe flying it may tip over and drag a short distance before coming to a stop and may sometimes tip over as it does so. However in the balloon basket you will be safe, and in any event your pilot will give you a full safety briefing before take off.
